From this highly calcareous soil, la Croix Boissée acquires a firm body with marked and “chalky” tannins. It is complex, fat, with aromas of very ripe fruit, and needs a few years of aging in bottles (2 to 20 years). Quantity is limited.

- Soil : Coteau of sandy clay over limestone or “white tuf”. The slope has a full South exposure, so the grapes take in a lot of sun.
- Vines : Small plots of vines aged 15 to 40 years.
- Vinification / Aging : Manual harvest. Fermentation of 20 days in oak vats, then 24-month aging in oak barrels 1-3 years old then, 9 months in ciment tank. Bottling in september, three years after harvest. No filtration.
